Did They Roam The Earth Millions Of Years Before Man?

Like many Christians, I have some serious problems with the
theory of evolution, dinosaurs & similar ideas espoused by
modern-day science. According to text books, dinosaurs
existed millions of years ago long before the arrival of
mankind on Earth. Not surprisingly, this is in direct
conflict with the Genesis account, which I believe to be an
accurate record written by Moses, as dictated to him by God.
Contrary to what is believed by some New Age thinkers, in my
view, Genesis contains very little symbolism. It is a very
factual historical account written from a human perspective
so that we could understand the story of Creation even
thousands of years later today. When it speaks of the six
days of Creation, it means exactly that, six days as we know
them today. Some skeptics and debunkers will cunningly try
to use the Scriptures to show that they contradict
themselves. In the case of the story of Creation, they might
point to 2 Peter 3:8 where Peter says:

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one
day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand
years as one day."

In this verse, Peter may have been paraphrasing Psalm 90:4
which states:

"For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when
it is past, and as a watch in the night."

I believe that these verses do not contradict Genesis,
neither are they suggesting that the days in Genesis were
thousands or millions of years each as in the eras, ages,
periods or epochs dreamed up by modern-day atheistic
archeologists, paleontologists & other 'scientists'. My
understanding is that these verses are merely stating that
in the spirit realm, time does not really exist. Time is a
product of our three dimensional world. Being all-knowing,
omnipresent & omnipotent, God sees the past, present &
future as one, what some have referred to as the Eternal
Now. Time is only a reference in the physical universe, but
not in the spiritual.

Again, Genesis was written from a human perspective. The
Lord wanted to make sure Moses [and we], understood exactly
what He was saying. To clarify this point, we are told a
number of times that the EVENING & the MORNING were the 1st
day, the 2nd day, the 3rd day, etc. These were 24 hour
periods. Following Jewish tradition, these day began & ended
at sunset, Sunday being the first day of the week, & the
Sabbath, our Saturday, being the day of rest, the day the
Lord apparently rested from His work of Creation.

Even Jesus Himself, in talking about light and darkness,
night & day, and the work He was called to do, used examples
which the common man could relate to. In John 11:9, Jesus
said:

"...Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk
in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of
the world."

Jesus was clearly indicating that from the human
perspective, from the physical perspective of our Earth,
there are 12 hours in the daylight, and twelve hours in the
nightime as well...from the very days of Creation up to the
final chapter of the book of Revelation, days, months &
years signify the same time periods as we know them today.
The only differences are:

1) In certain prophetic passages, the Biblical word 'week'
does not refer to a seven-DAY period, but rather to a
seven-YEAR period

2) A Biblical year is 360 days instead of 365 days

3) In certain places, the word 'time' actually means year as
is clearly borne out in associated scriptures.

The Scriptures are consistent from beginning to end. As I've
stated before, God is not the author of confusion. He does
not use one term to mean one thing in one place in
Scripture, and then change its meaning to something entirely
different in another place. This would surely lead to
confusion, and based on my limited knowledge of the
Scriptures, God simply does not operate this way...but Satan
does! The above time definitions hold true throughout the
Bible.

If Adam and Eve were created on the sixth day of Creation,
then this means that there were only five days before
them...and not thousands or millions of years. If this is
indeed the case, as I believe it is, then there were no ages
of the Dinosaurs, or Saurians or Reptoids, as some New Agers
prefer to call them. Neither were their evolving half-men
half-apes running around grunting unintelligibly at each
other. God created Adam and Eve in His own image. Adam was
created with intelligence...after all, he was responsible
for naming all of the animals. True, he couldn't build an
automobile, or a computer, or a rocket...but that is because
once they ate of the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good
and evil, their eyes were opened... and from that day until
now, man's knowledge has SLOWLY increased to its current
level with a sudden spurt in this last century. The book of
Daniel in fact points this out as a sign of the Endtime:

"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book,
even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and
knowledge shall be increased." (Daniel 12:4)

Amongst certain New Age circles, there is the belief that
some ancient societies, such as the purported Atlantean
culture, the Indians & the Greeks, reached an extremely high
level of technology, so advanced in fact, that they
developed both air travel and space travel, as well as
nuclear power. They base these claims on such things as
certain ancient texts purportedly discovered in India (the
epic poems), as well as ancient clay tablets from Sumer
which are said to be older than the writings of Moses.
Inasmuch as the Scriptures are concerned, they use such
verses as the following to support their claims:

"And Zillah, she also bare Tubal-cain, an instructor of
every artificer in brass and iron..." (Genesis 4:22)

For those not knowledgeable in this area, Tubal-cain was one
of the later descendants of Cain. This is all the verse
says, and nothing more. There is no indication as to what
degree he was skilled in working with these metals. However,
if we read other verses in the Bible which deal with
metalworks, we find that from Genesis up until Revelation,
they appear to have been limited to such things as cups and
other eating utensils, spearheads, shields chariots and
similar weapons of defense, candlesticks, priestly ornaments
and temple objects, & of course, the design of the Ark of
the Covenant, as well as the molten calf fashioned by Aaron
the brother of Moses. Many of the pagan gods and temples
were likewise adorned with precious stones and metals. Money
was also made from metal by some ancient cultures. This
basically covers the first four thousand years of Earth's
history. No where is there any indication of advanced
technology being produced from these metals, especially
aircraft or spacecraft. If this had indeed occurred, I think
that God would have thought it important enough to tell us
about it. If the Romans were using swords & spears in Jesus'
day, I don't doubt that that is what humanity has been
limited to since the beginning of our creation. While it is
true that there are clear signs in the Bible of
out-of-this-world technology, such as in the case of
Ezekiel's wheel within a wheel vision, these were clearly
not of human origin. To interpret the above verse any other
way, is clearly grasping at straws, distorting the truth,
and being extremely speculatory to say the least.

In my view, no matter how much these other sources might awe
us with such tales, I feel that we should regard them with
high suspicion as the deceptive voices of Satan and his
cohorts. Remember too that the actual age of these
'discoveries' is based on highly questionable scientific
techniques such as carbon-14 dating which has a record of
producing conflicting ages. The more I read this stuff &
compare it with Scripture, the more I become convinced that
it is all part of the Grand Deception. The false prophets
are being exposed more and more each day as their
predictions fail to materialize. If you really read closely
and scrutinize what some of these New Agers are each saying,
and compare it to Biblical truth, the subtle deceptions
become quite apparent. As I have said in another article,
New Age thought may in fact be the religion of the New World
Order! I have been following and reading this material for
quite some time ...& I read as much of it as I can, inspite
of the fact that it is very time-consuming. While it may
seem like a waste of time to some, it is a sure way of
knowing what Satan is saying through his false prophets, so
that you can combat it.

Now, if God did in fact create dinosaurs during the first
six days of Creation, as some wish to believe, they
definitely were NOT the terrible meat-eating fanged clawed
monsters as depicted by modern-day scientists. Genesis makes
it very clear that before the Flood, man and animals were
ALL herbivores, plant eaters. Everything was in perfect
harmony and balance. It wasn't until after the fall of man
that things began to unravel...and it was AFTER the Flood in
Genesis 9:1-6 that God tells Noah that people may now eat
meat, provided they drain out the blood. In these same
verses, the Lord says that any beast which kills man or any
man which kills another man, will be cursed. My personal
belief as to why it became permissible to eat meat, is that
with the removal of the watery envelope that surrounded the
Earth prior to the Flood, exposure to the harmful UV rays
resulted in man starting to age faster. We can only guess as
to what other physical, spiritual or genetic changes may
have occurred after The Fall, & the entrance of sin into the
world. My guess is that the introduction of protein into our
diets helped to prolong our lives. As can be seen by reading
Genesis, beginning with the sons of Noah and their
descendants, mankind's life span quickly went from nine
hundred plus years to about 120 years at best..and today,
most of us don't even reach that! As a matter of fact, Jesus
said in Matthew 24 that things will be so bad just prior to
His second coming, that if the days were not shortened, no
flesh would be saved!...But for the elect's sake, those days
shall be shortened!

The Genesis account of the Flood makes it very clear that
ALL air-breathing life which dwelt on dry land was destroyed
except for that which entered the Ark with Noah & his
immediate family. What went into the Ark, came out of it
later. For dinosaurs to have survived the Flood, God would
have to have called them into the Ark. Considering that they
were passive plant eaters, IF they truly existed, we cannot
totally discount this possibility. But that still leaves us
with a problem: Where are they today? If they went into &
came out of the Ark, why aren't there any today? Many of the
other species survived...why not the dinosaurs? Could it be
that they simply NEVER existed? IF they truly existed,
surely some would have survived until our day, just like
many other animals. Giving this further thought, one could
surmise that IF they did exist, and IF they were not taken
into the Ark, then they died in the Flood & eventually
became fossilized. This possibility seems workable until you
consider the fact that God told Noah to take samples of ALL
living air-breathing land-based creatures into the Ark...and
this would include the dinosaurs...IF they existed! And
remember, up until the time of the Flood, all living
creatures, man included, were plant-eaters, so having
dinosaurs in the Ark would not have been a problem. The only
ones exempt from this commandment were the marine species.
Taking this into account, we still have the possibility that
perhaps some very ancient sea creatures still roam our
oceans up to the present day! Is it possible that the pur-
ported Loch Ness monster is one of these? Possibly... but IF
it truly exists, I would prefer not to call it a dinosaur,
but rather an ancient sea creature, as the mere mention of
the word 'dinosaur' is soon attached to the whole false
theory of evolution and the 'millions of years' scenario. As
has already been pointed out, both man, plant & beast (land
and sea) have only been around some 6,000 years at best. No
matter how you look at it, the existence of dinosaurs from a
scriptural point of view is very weak. The evidence simply
cannot be found.

Some New Agers hold to the belief that an ancient
upright-walking saurian or reptoid race co-existed with
early man, and that the serpent in the Garden of Eden was in
fact one of these creatures controlled by Satan. They
propose that some of these saurian creatures survived the
Flood by going underground into the deep tunnels & caverns
of the Earth where they evolved into highly intelligent
beings. As with the Atlanteans, Greeks/Hav-Musuvs, Indians
and other ancient societies, these reptilian creatures are
said to exist to this very day in their underground
metropolises. Other New Agers also believe that some of
these ancient races escaped the Earth and went to the stars.
The Greys/Dracos/Zeta Reticulans, are said to be reptilian
in nature by those who espouse these beliefs, with slitted
eyes like serpents, and scaley reptilian skin of varying
shades of gray.

As I have already clearly explained, the possibility of
underground civilizations which survived the Flood is
totally contrary to the Scripture, and I personally do not
accept it. Again, ALL land-based air-breathing creatures
died except for those in Noah's Ark. There is no way around
this...unless you say Genesis is not true, and God is a
liar, or that Moses somehow got it all wrong when the Lord
dictated it to him. If there is in fact life on other
planets, the Biblical account does not support the idea that
it originated on or migrated from the Earth in some ancient
time. In my view, if life, intelligent or otherwise, exists
on other planets, it must have been a separate creation by
the Lord...but I don't know this for a fact.

Now if you happen to be a die-hard scientist type, I imagine
that by this time you are rolling all over the floor in
laughter loudly proclaiming all of the 'evidence' we have in
our museums, in our text books, etc. Well, I beg to differ.
It is all based on conjecture, guesswork, theory, & some
very vivid imaginations. They will dig up one bone in one
place, and then another bone miles away, and another over
here, another over there, & they will speculate exactly
which ones go with which skeleton, in which place each bone
should go, what is the proper angle, etc. It is pure
guess-work based a lot on imagination and the whims of the
discoverer. And even when they do discover basically intact
skeletons, they still must imagine what its exterior looked
like, what it ate, etc...more guesswork. Other than
purported frozen mummified mastadons found in Siberia (with
vegetation still in their mouths according to the reports),
I personally have never heard of any other COMPLETE
mummified remains being found anywhere of any prehistoric
animal of any appreciable size. Have you?

Has a COMPLETE mummified Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus,
Brontosaurus, or any other large dinosuar ever been found
intact anywhere? I would really like to hear about
it...especially if it is a complete mummy with the real head
still attached! It just seems a bit odd to me that some of
these so-called dinosaurs had such massive bodies, yet such
tiny heads and brains! It makes me wonder if maybe there
isn't a little bit of hanky-panky going on here. Can anyone
tell me how many LARGE skulls have been found which
definitely cannot be matched to some animal currently living
on Earth? What is the size of the largest skull ever found
which cannot be matched to a current living species?

Taking this a step further, if other such mummified
skeletons have been found, has the mummified contents of its
stomach been analyzed? Has the color, texture and
composition of its skin been thoroughly proven? Has enough
mummified ligaments been discovered, still attached to the
bones to conclusively prove that such and such bones go
together? It seems to me that the more modern-day scientists
discover, the more they realize how wrong they were about
previous theories which were long held as sacred dogma, the
undisputable truth of the day. Consider for example, that up
until recently, it was believed that most dinosaurs where
slow dumb solitary creatures which lumbered about. Then one
day some scientist discovers that they had the angle of the
tail bones all wrong. Now, all of a sudden, dinosaurs become
swift running highly intelligent pack killers. Such is the
world of theories and guesswork! It is very volatile and can
change from day to day. Thank God that our assurances as
Christians is more solid than that!

To add to this comedy of errors, today in our museums and
hallowed halls of science, we have hundreds of dinosaur
skeletons constructed, not of REAL bones, but of 'MOLDED
COPIES.' If you don't believe this, just ask your friendly
museum curator exactly where that 'whole' brontosaurus
skeleton, or that 'whole' Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton was
discovered. Watch him start to cough and sputter as he tries
to come up with a half-believable way to explain to you that
they were really 'pieced' together based on a few discovered
bones, or that most of the skeleton is based on some
'original' discovered somewhere which he himself has never
seen! Or maybe he will be honest and tell you that what you
are looking at is not even real bones. I'll tell you, some
of these scientists are so desperate to keep their theories
alive, and to discredit Scripture and disprove the Flood,
that I wouldn't put it past them to plant evidence to build
people's false faith in their ideas!

Another point I find hard to swallow is how all of these
different species of dinosaurs became trapped in these tar
pits. According to those who support these theories, the
meat-eater was bopping along looking for a small snack, and
lo and behold, there is a helpless herbivore stuck up to his
neck in muck. 'Gee...a free meal!' he exclaims as he steps
forward to take a bite out of the sinking lizard. 'Whoah!
Looks like I lost my footing!' he cries desperately as he
ends up side by side with the helpless herbivore. And now we
have two dinosaurs stuck in the muck...right? Well, sorry to
disagree, but IF they are finding all of these skeletons
thrown together, it wasn't because of someone throwing a big
potluck in the goo, but rather, when the Flood arrived and
mighty currents began to fill the lowlands and valleys,
these creatures were suddenly swept off of their feet. Many
animals were probably carried great distances and eventually
drowned. As the waters eventually receded off of the face of
the Earth after the Flood, whatever remains the sharks &
other garbagemen of the sea weren't able to eat, were
probably carried by the swift-moving currents to the various
lowlands of the Earth where they piled up in mighty ancient
graveyards. They were then either partially or fully buried
in thick layers of mud...mud which eventually became
hardened by sun, time or water pressure ...or possibly a
combination of the three.

As to the scientific proposal that the dinosaurs were
suddenly wiped out by some cosmic disaster such as an
asteroid or comet grazing or plowing into the Earth, this
also does not hold. Genesis says man and beast were created
all within the first six days. If the comet story is true,
mankind would have been wiped out as well.

As to the possibility that the dinosaurs died off due to
slow climatic changes which they were not able to endure,
this also doesn't hold up under Scriptural scrutiny. The
Biblical indication is that the polar ice caps resulted from
a sudden freezing of the waters when the Lord flooded the
Earth and then caused the waters to recede. This would
easily explain the mummified frozen wooly mammoths
discovered in Siberia. It may also be that a polar shift
occurred during this time while Noah and his family were
safely floating above the flood waters in the Ark. This is
only speculation, but one point which is clear, is that the
destruction of all air-breathing life on Earth was a sudden
catastrophic worldwide event (it being assumed that the
world was one land mass at that time). There was no slow
dying off of species due to extending glaciers or ice ages
as is theorized by modern science. Death came swift and
unexpectedly. How else can you explain that these wooly
mammoths were found with vegetation in their mouths, as if
they were totally caught by surprise?

As to their highly-questionable carbon-14 dating techniques,
again, this is another clear attempt to call God a liar, &
His word, a lie. IF these beasts truly did exist, they
existed not millions of years ago, but under 6,000 years ago
at best. Simple math used in conjunction with the Biblical
record, the historical record, and even the archeological
records of Egypt, will back this up. Man and beast have only
been around for roughly 6,000 years, & they were created
within days of each other, and not millions of years apart
according to the Creation account in Genesis. Dating
techniques used by modern scientists are clearly off-base if
one believes in the accuracy of the Scriptures.

Let's be honest here. Anyone who truly believes the
Scriptures, whether he be Christian or Jew, or maybe even
Muslim for all I know, cannot possibly believe in or accept
the deceptive lies & distortions being espoused today by
modern science and the supporters of New Age thought.
Genesis clearly blows a lot of holes in both of these
cherished belief systems. As I have stated in previous
articles, it really comes down to one basic question: Do you
accept the Scriptures as God's inspired word of truth, or
don't you? If you do, then there is no room for these other
false ideas.

We have a clear accurate factual historical account of
Creation from day one all the way up to the very end of our
current world. For anyone who is sincerely and earnestly
seeking the truth, the answers can be found in the Bible if
one asks the Lord to open his or her eyes & heart.

Based on the above, anything which lends weight to the
argument that the Earth is older than approximately 6,000
years, or that dinosaurs existed millions of years before
mankind, or that man evolved from apes, should be held
suspect & totally rejected by sincere Believers. There can
be no compromise, either the Genesis account is the true
inspired word of God, or else it isn't. We each must make
the decision for ourselves. Which will YOU choose?
